CSUSB Hunger Striker

  • Just before midnight, economics major Natalie Dorado, 22, had an orange as her final meal prior to beginning a hunger strike May 2, 2012. Dorado joined 12 other students on other CSU campus in a hunger strike to protest budget cuts and increased tuition.   • Some 290 students from all over the county waited for judges to rule on who had the best history project during the annual San Bernardino County History Day competition in Fontana March 10, 2012. This year's theme was "Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History". Students work were judged by educators, historians, and other professionals in related fields.   • Students enjoyed a reading of Dr. Suess' The Lorax by BET's Durward Davis during a NEA Read Across America Tour event at Davidson Elementary School in San Bernardino February 24, 2012. The event was part of an 11-state tour, encouraging students to read. The school received a $1500.00 check and a copy of The Lorax for every student.
