  • Nearly 70 underprivileged children received two pairs of new shoes as part of an Easter celebration at the Central City Lutheran Mission in San Bernardino April 6, 2012. Volunteers served children an afternoon snack, gave them new shoes and socks, and later led them on an Easter Egg hunt. The church gave away 124 pairs of shoes.   • Former NFL star Mike McCoy spoke to students at Aquinas Catholic High School in San Bernardino February 16, 2012. McCoy told students about what he referred to as one of the greatest principles in life: Decisions Determine our Destiny. “The choices that you and I make today, will determine who we will become in very short time,” said McCoy. “If we want to change tomorrow, we need to look at today. Because tomorrow becomes today very quickly.” McCoy warned of the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse in addition to the challenges of premarital sex. McCoy has become a leading motivational speaker for youth, addressing the challenges high school students face with a faith-based message. He speaks primarily in Catholic Schools across America and abroad. McCoy’s NFL career began with the Greenbay Packers in 1970 where he became the Rookie of the Year. He also played with the Oakland Raiders, and the New York Giants.

Twin Peaks Bus Crash

  • At least one person was killed and 10 were seriously injured a few minutes before noon Monday when a bus crashed along Highway 189 in the San Bernardino Mountains February 21, 2011. The bus, owned by a Korean church in Pasadena, fell about 20 feet over the side of the road after colliding with another vehicle and striking a power pole.

Downtown Mission

The center, operated by the Way World Outreach Church gave out approximately 300 bags of food to the homeless and the needy. The church has run its mission in the downtown center for five years. This the mission's second location.

First Presbyterian of San Bernardino gets solar panels

  • Reverend Nasir Iqbal led a healing service at Kingdom Life Fellowship in Redlands July 16, 2010. “Real faith happens when people learn to follow God," says Iqbal of his healings. “Real hope is when man cooperates with God and acts.” After being attacked in 1995, Iqbal was in a 22-day coma with a 50% chance of survival when he met Jesus Christ. He later became a Christian minister and healer. "It is not I who heal, but the power of Christ," says Iqbal. Two people claim that healing miracles happened recently at Kingdom Life Fellowship.

Welcome to Integratron

  • Hundreds of people gathered to the Integratron dome in Landers August 15, 2009. They came from all over to view the Perseid Meteor Shower and receive rejuvenation from sound baths. The Integratron dome was based on the design of Moses' Tabernacle, the writings of Nikola Tesla, and directions from extraterrestrials. The one of a kind building is the the only acoustically perfect sound chamber in the United States.
